    .
Banana shakes are very popular but do they increase blood sugar by a lot? In this first-ever Low Spike Recipe segment, I test a regular banana shake and then make a low spike version to see if we can reduce the spike without compromising the taste. Will it work? Let’s find out!

Disclaimer: I’m not a diabetic. Results are different for each person, especially for diabetics. My own results vary a little each day. Glycemic load, calories, quality & quantity of food, all of these matter. Finally, I am not a doctor & this is not medical advice.
    .
How to see these results: Best is to see trends & develop an intuition on how to eat different foods. Don’t focus on absolute numbers. Ideally, you should do tests on yourself to get the most personalised results.
    .
Why I do these experiments: Prevention is the best medicine! Research today shows that lower and fewer sugar spikes in a day reduces the risk of obesity, diabetes, heart disease & PCOS. Please see the work of Dr. Rob Lustig, Dr. Casey Means, Dr. Michael Snyder, Dr. Annette Bosworth, Jessie Inchauspé & Dr Roshani Sanghani

    1. Ideal post meal blood sugar increase = 30mg/dl or lower
    2. Eat next meal when the previous increase has flattened

Instead of few hours later, please be specific of how many hours after the food you check blood sugar. Because the levels can vary depending on 1 hour after food, 2 hour after food. If it still remains high for more than 3 hours then it is bad. So, not only the 1 and 2 hour spike, how long it stays high after 2 hours is also important.
Please mention the specific duration after food henceforth. Your videos will have more reliability then.

One Suggestion : compare sugar spike when food or drink is taken within 5 minutes vs food or drink consumed slowly eg, 30 minutes or so. Same food will give different results
