The water in alcohol is still healthy for the body and actually only about a couple average sized bottles of alcohol is actually as much as you need for your body to flush out toxins. Alcohol isn't toxic. I forget who said it but it's the dose that makes it lethal. Alcohol is not a toxin. It's a detox, it's just very strong in comparison to most

    This is interesting, quick story
Back when I was severely addicted to alcohol (literally would drink all day everyday)
Right after couple of beers or shot I would go bike riding with a 40lb chain and go as fast as I could until I couldn't anymore. It was the most I've ever done. Surprisingly, sober I've never been able to have the motivation or drive to do something like that. Even going on walks or weightlifting just seemed to push my body intensely and saw improvements/gains over time.
Since quitting, I can still do these things but not the same push I had before. It makes me wonder how could I have done these things while (nerfed) but at the best health, I feel slow and out of breathe quickly.
I had a watch to track my workouts so its not like I was just so drunk and over estimated what I was doing. The stats showed I was way more active and feel of stamina under quite a lot of physical stress
