Well sheβs quoting her studies and experts and you do the same. I donβt trust any of you anymore. Trust the science is the biggest con going. Youβre all paid off and talking rubbish and you sit there with that smug loon on your face like you are the only one with all knowledge. I see how much your industry cares for my 85 year old Mother. You rip her off constantly charging her for keeping her sick and doing little to truly help her. The system is corrupt, ineffective and failing her in such an underwhelming and careless manner. I bet you still think the Covid vaccines are a great idea too? You lot donβt seem to care about that data at all!!! ππππ
Scammer

That's a shame she did not really read the study or chose to misrepresent all the info. Then again one study became "studies" when she spoke. O Then again fear gets clicks.
PHD π©
Btw this person is selling their own supplements.
βDr Patrick, what happens when you put a banana in your βsmoothieβ?β π€£
This Dr Patrick has a goldmine of material to be analyzed.π
I despise these fitness gurus that are like "complicated words bad!"
Thanks for reinforcement of reasoning π those ladies are putting themselves at risk of orthorexia from their health neurosis
I'd rather just eat the fruit whole to be honest, more satiating that way. Might be an unpopular opinion π
First banana energy π
The study isnβt about male physiology β itβs about PPO destroying polyphenols in the blender. The smoothie doesnβt magically keep its polyphenols for women. Once PPO oxidises them, theyβre gone for all genders. Biology doesnβt negotiate.
And no, the study didnβt test blueberries β because chemistry doesnβt care which fruit you wish it had tested. They used bananaβs PPO against cocoa polyphenols, and PPO destroys polyphenols regardless of the source. The mechanism applies to blueberries automatically. Thereβs no special fruitβbased loophole.
And the effect wasnβt βslightβ unless you think a 20β30% drop in bioavailability is a rounding error. Thatβs a major biochemical loss, not a tiny dip you can handβwave away.
At this point, it might be time to get a new teacher β ideally one who passed basic biochemistry.
Yeah De. Rhonda Patrick sometimes loose the bigger picture β¦.
Great Dr. Idz β¦ as always
Thank you for confirming that. I admit I thought someone with her credentials knew how to read and interpret scientific studies. I am sure she does but has sold out to the lure of internet popularity just following the latest trends. A couple of years ago she swore up and down that intermittent fasting was the holy grail.
In the US polyphenols don't even have a recommended dietary intake, which she as like "Nutritional Researcher " or whatever should know. It's sad that people get a PhD and then just decide to waffle it all to be a grifter
OMG bananas are curved just like the devils horns!! Imagine what would happen to your children if you eat them.
*Disclaimer: please do not eat your children, eat a banana instead and soothe your appetite.
meh the study still clearly show PPO radical effect on polyphenols. that's not a big deal banana or not there are bigger battle to fight. Rhonda said worse than this about eggs and meat
how the hell are you not tired of all this bs, i feel like its gotten to a point the majority of voices in nutrition are just pure bs, though this could just be my own social media feed and all lol
"See, this is why I need you."
That's sad…
I NEVER add bananas to smoothies. I'm allergic to bananas
Mel Robbins is just a hard no as are the people she is trusting as experts. Nope.
So where does she recommend putting the banana? π
What an idiotic statement. I canβt believe how much unhelpful information is provided by so-called experts. We may as well split hairs until the end of time and get nowhere fast. Thanks for sharing this post Dr. π
Studies, studies, studies. If I listened to every "study" that came out since I was born, I'd likely be dead. How about we listen to the words on liquor bottles; enjoy in moderation… every thing.
Both of those women lost my respect 2 or 3 years ago
