You, uh, didn’t have a bigger ice cube there? 😬

Why people call in protein shake when it's not 😂

  3. @wickywills says

Ideally shouldn't blend bananas with sources of flavanols. Still, for most, this is great, and obviously better than getting a milkshake from a store!

I made a modified version of this, and my lord it was GOOD!! I am just learning how to use hemp hearts, and this is excellent.

I halved the PB and banana, used cow milk, and subbed stevia for the maple syrup. (Then still only drank half, since it was snack not a meal) Ohhhh it’s thick, creamy, sweet, and satisfying.

I think to up the fiber (hemp hearts are great on protein but low on fiber, and the whole banana is too glycemic for me) I’d swap one tablespoon of hemp for ground chia. But… maybe then it’d be gritty instead of smooth. I’ll try it.

Enzymes in banana will block antioxidant absorbtion from cacao

    Alternative to hemp seeds ?

Made this just now. Was tasty, reminds me of chocolate yazoo back in the day lol. Was feeling tired and brain fog. This deffo helped

I used to love bananas in smoothies, but when I'm using cacao powder I use another sweet fruit like mangoes because I've recently learned something in the bananas almost totally negates the flavanols from the cacao.

Nice, but way too much calories for the protein they offer.

  11. @idiptoastinicecream says

The banana is going to stop the absorption of the beneficial flavonols in cacao

Well, it doesn’t work like that for everyone; I get hungry almost straight away after every liquid meal… Besides, it’s terribly impractical with all those expensive, exotic ingredients… As for all the recipes on this channel, it’s a very impractical, expensive diet. It would be nice to have some recipes ‘for ordinary people’ 😉

What else could you use besides hemp seeds?

  14. @uroojimdad6991 says

    How many calories bro?

  15. @Wonderscope1 says

This thing is over 500 cal. 25% of my daily cal intake.

  16. @7681411 says

"quick snack" but why didn't you list the calories this smoothie has? Based on my estimates:

    ~615 kcal
    ~28.8 g protein
    ~51 g carbs
    ~37 g fat

While the fibre and protein content is good, for someone trying to lose weight (AKA the average person watching this video), this "quick snack" will never help anyone achieve this goal. It may in fact lead to the opposite. This smoothie is good for someone who is replacing a meal or training hard at the gym, trying to bulk up.

Peanut butter is a fat source, people! Not a protein source! 😂😅🫠

  18. @cabanns says

MyFitnessPal logs this as >700 calories & >30g fat! WOOF! Better ways to hit these protein and fiber
    Macros IMO

  19. @gamlastan89 says

Snacks of this calorific count? No thanks..this is more of a meal, even if we take on board that not all calories are created equal…

  20. @safina2022 says

Fabulous…. Now you need a non plastic blender. You don’t want millions of microplastics in your stomach

  21. @user-fb8uw6cr3r says

This is good because I need to up my caloric intake

  22. @Suz-e9t says

This is a dessert! Way too many carbs for the level of protein. And peanut butter is generally so not good for us. Love you and your channel, but this recipe is disappointing!

  23. @viktoriarawlinson112 says

Mmmm best protein shake I've ever seen tasty but healthy. 😊❤

  24. @khushinandwani3278 says

    Does hemp seeds need soaking?

  25. @JaneyChan-u7p says

Where are you getting the fiber from ?

  26. @anishasingh7680 says

What can I substitute peanut butter for, I don't really like it would it work without or be better to add something else in place of it?

    Calories?

    But over 600 calories?

  29. @TB-tt1hm says

  30. @emmasmoviereacts says

Handful of spinach, it would be perfect

  31. @anjatellem4619 says

I'm team don't drink your calories, sorry 🤷🏼‍♀️

  32. @MechoLallo says

Im totally doing this tomorrow morning, but removing the maple syrup. Banana is enough sweetness for me. 🎉🎉🎉

  33. @barbarabonar627 says

    Thank you! This is perfect!

  34. @disaj7460 says

yummm in my tummm…i'd be drinking this all day every day😋

  35. @AndreiBerechet says

700 calories, 30 grams of protein, 40g of fat, 14g of sugar.

A big mac has 20% LESS fat, less sugar and less calories.

Choose how you get fat wisely 😂

  36. @Fandom_Editor_Geek says

Love your recipes and thank you so much for what you do! You really opened my eyes to so many healthy foods and have made living a healthy lifestyle so much more accessible to me!!

  37. @ankstar1291 says

The problem is that here you get 540 kcal for only 20g of protein. Healthy, but this isn't a "protein snack", this is a very-low protein full meal.
Need recipes with way more proteins or way less calories. Same problem for the 400kcal – 18 g of "protein" bars
