    This combination was a Sunday dinner drink in Jamaica when I was growing up. My mom steamed to soften and used the cooled water to blend. Raw veggies were blended with more water and were strained thru cloth and sweetened with a little sugar or honey. Popped a few pimento in before refrigerating and serving.

    For children it's just beet and carrot juice and add honey or sweetened condensed milk and spices (cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg.) That was tasty and my favorite.
