Hi! I am maruf hasan, a professional video editor and thumbnail designer. I found this video on 5 Fasting Mistakes Blocking Your Weight Loss on Zepbound or Retatrutide After 50 by Dr. Stirrett very insightful, especially the advice on maintaining hydration and electrolytes during extended fasts. I have actually already created a custom-made thumbnail for your channel to help this valuable health advice reach a wider audience. I would love to help you with your video editing and design! Please let me know how I can send the design to you.
my history is a lot like the subject in this video and similar age. I am on tirz/reta now and continuing to eat twice a day at 1pm and 6pm and nothing between other than coffee in the morning with a scoop of protein powder. Higher ldl cholesterol and high crp and fasting insulin also in last lab work and sluggish weight loss until I started reta which now has brought me to 6-7 pounds a month. But I'm going to try to add a breakfast to see if cortisol is part of my story as well. Thx!
Great information thanks!
@3:15 I think you're giving inaccurate information when you say you cant Fast your way out of Insulin resistance. That is 100% FALSE‼️ nothing destroys Insulin resistance faster than fasting. The problem is these flimsy14-18 hour Intermittent fasting protocals are not long enough. People really need to get in the habit of doing 48-72 hour fast in the beginning. Then work there way up to 7-14 day fast. Prolonged fasting Eradicates Insulin resistance.
You just described me. I’ve eaten low carb and fasted for years. This practice helped to cure my Ulcerative Colitis but was gaining weight and wasn’t sleeping well for a very long time. I was able to drop nearly 20 lbs by increasing my exercise and fasting less while maintaining sub 25 grams of carbs and then I stalled for 4 months.
I started working with a doctor to lose the remaining 18 lbs of body fat. My blood markers were nearly ideal except my A1C was 5.6, fasting insulin of 10 and my HS-CRP was 7.5. I knew I was still battling inflammation but I was shocked to see an A1C and fasting insulin even though my fasting glucose was 82. I used to run 5.0 A1C eating the same diet.
I started eating 3-4 meals high protein meals but still very low carb (no fasting allowed) and half the starter dose of Zep. I’ve been losing about a pound/week but my sleep was worse than ever. My doctor had me increase the carbs and add a small amount of protein before bed and I’ve able to sleep much better since making this adjustment.
Other than my sleep I have felt amazing. Going to the gym has been easy because my joint pain is non-existent for the first time in 20 years and my energy level is greatly improved.
I guess I need to add even more carbs and maybe portion my calories out to 5 meals a day. Thank you for sharing this! Good to know I’m not alone
Loved your content btw are you looking for video editor?
You described me to a 't', although I am losing wt on retatrutide and was stalled big time doing IF only. I can and will do egg at the break of day! Now about cholesterol-oh, that you would look into the cholesterol story and its tenuous link to cardiovascular health. I didn't start out in the medical field and was skeptical about the cholesterol hypothesis from the get go based on my previous studies. Of course, I am not alone in realizing that the cholesterol hypothesis is dogma largely promulgated by big pharma assisted by big agriculture. And statins, the most profitable drug in history (probably to be massively eclipsed by reta once FDA approved) have a role in endothelial dysfunction but the notion that lowering of cholesterol in a population prevents heart disease is a red herring. Rant over, thanks for advice. GK
Thank you doctor that’s me I fast every day my first lunch 2 PM or 3 PM I learn a lot thank you ❤
I've made lots of these mistakes in the past…. Coffee on an empty stomach and extended fasts
