Thank you for posting this. Actually I like the taste of beans. It’s very satisfying. So I’m looking forward to doing these.

I did the black bean chocolate with coconut milk, cocoa powder, sucralose drops, vanilla, and added 1/2t cinnamon (had no protein powder)… when I made it, my reaction was: this tastes like punishment. But after being in the fridge? That’s a game changer. I don’t love the texture, but it isn’t bad flavor and cold beans taste less beans than canned beans from the shelf, even adding ice.

Put your can of beans in the fridge the night before, or make the shake the night before and that helps the bean flavor immensely.

Hi, how about dates instead of the maple syrup?
    Thank-you 💚

The most stupid thing ever, it won’t keep you full as eating and chewing your food. You drinking this disgusting beverage and it contains 671 calories for the black bean one. I can make a super delicious food for the same amount of calories and it for sure will keep you full for 6hours. I don’t get it, unless you lift weight and you need protein shakes and that’s why you drink your proteins because you will be able to eat more proteins for lunch and dinner

  15. @beckyirvin2718 says

    Why not use dates?

I strugle to have that amount of liquid in one setting, so I normally save it till lunch and my mobility is limited because of Vertigo so I am not losing the weight I thought I would, beans do not make me gassy and soy milk switching was amazing, my indigestion with cows milk has gone, and the soy is delicious.

    great thank you

  20. @Tamar-y1w says

No Soy milk for me! Cacao is much better Cayenne Pepper is always good with beans!

Did a 6 day smoothie test/challenge (actually ended up being 5 as I had to take a break midway through…"beans, beans everywhere…probably even in my dreams, LOL!) #1 takeaway- found I wasn't hungry, EVEN IN THE SLIGHTEST, for the next 5-6 hours each day. I track macros in Cronometer and eat a lot of the same foods. The fiber average for those days was 66, while average for the week prior was 60 so my switching my normal oatmeal-packed breakfast for the smoothies may not sound significant, but 6 g of fiber REALLY is. Would I do it every day? Probably not. It was a lot! BUT, will I add it to my rotation? yes. I can see doing this a couple of times a week, especially in the summer. Cold smoothies don't sound very enticing in the colder winter months. Last point: I enjoyed the Chickpea Vanilla smoothie most,( though I subbed in navy beans) and one day even used lupini for extra protein.

OMG. I’ve only tried the chocolate one so far. I slice and freeze the banana, strawberries and raspberries omit the ice and it turns out like a frosty. This is so delirious and I only use 1/2 can of black beans (don’t know how you could finish it with a whole can). I’m finally starting to loose the extra 10 lbs I gained last year that I couldn’t shake. Thank you for sharing this delicious idea.

Truvani Protein powder is $60 a bag.

After 30years of giving up food in cans, maybe I'll cook my own beans. More nutrients, if you sprout them first, if you care. No BPA'S, no overprocessed, over salted, beans. And you could put your own good salt in.
Holy c*** that's a lot of calories. Good thing I never count calories.

  25. @tinyhumanlady says

Trying this for lunch with 1/2 can of beans because I’m tiny. And I had a thought. If you don’t want to add ice you could store your beans in the fridge. 🥰
