My daily protein is usually protein yogurt, whey protein shake after workout, protein bar as treat before bed and 300-400g of chicken or salmon with my main 2 meals targeting 200g per meal ideally. If you aren’t getting majority from Whole Foods you are doing it wrong imo I aspire to cut down on the protein bars in the future. Post workout shake and yogurt I will probably keep long term.

I have been doing protein yogurt alone for breakfast for years. To me this is the right balance especially when I am budgeting 1800 calories daily I can eat a big lunch and big dinner and pseudo fasted morning. All these products though are mostly just whey protein powder added to whatever it is. Might as well just drink whey protein shakes much cheaper.

How do you find out how much protein you should have per day? Just started watching you and my doctor said I need to up my protein because I have a fatty liver and not due to alcohol.

I don’t really like breakfast, so I mix a premiere protein with 8oz coffee and collagen. It’s 48grams of protein and tastes like an iced coffee

Walmart brand Equate protein shakes are $20.98 for 12 30g protein shakes. Thats $1.75 each. Quest 45g protein shakes are $14.44 for 4 shakes. Just drink two Equate shakes for 60g and still save money.

FAIRLIFE – Well… 42 grams of protein from a shake ready to go sounds great … right? Too bad it has Carrageenan, Cellulose Gel, Cellulose Gum in as a thickener/emulsifier.
    So what is Celluose Gum:
    Common Raw Sources
While cellulose is present in all green plants, the commercial manufacturing of cellulose gum relies on two primary, highly abundant sources:
Wood Pulp: Typically harvested from sustainably managed softwood trees (like pine or spruce).
Cotton Linters: The short, fuzzy fibers that remain on the cotton seed after the main cotton is ginned for textiles.
