If You’re Over 50, Here’s My Favorite Post-Workout Smoothie 💚
If you’re over 50 and wondering what to eat after a strength workout, this is the smoothie I make almost every morning.
After my workout, I like to refuel with a protein-rich smoothie that helps me stay energized and keeps me full until lunchtime. My goal is to get about 40 grams of protein around my morning workout. Before I exercise, I have coffee with about 15 grams of protein, and afterward I make this smoothie with another 25 grams from protein powder.
🥤 What’s in my smoothie:
🫐 Blueberries & strawberries
💪 1 scoop protein powder (25g protein)
🌱 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
💚 1 tablespoon moringa powder
⚡ 5 grams creatine
🥥 Coconut water
I love adding flaxseed for the fiber and healthy fats, and moringa is one of my favorite ways to add extra vitamins and minerals to my day.
This smoothie may not be the prettiest, but it’s delicious, nourishing, and has become a staple in my morning routine.
